The Demos family has a long standing four generation history in the restaurant industry dating back to the early 1900's with Jim Demos' maternal grandfather opening his first in Birmingham, Alabama. After a career in theatre management, Jim decided to move his small family to the Nashville area and opened several Western Sizzlin' franchises in the Middle TN region. Jim and his wife, Doris opened their first Demos' at their flagship location in Murfreesboro in 1989. The Nashville location soon followed in the heart of downtown Nashville on the corner of Third Ave. and Commerce in 1992.
