THE M.L.ROSE STORY
began in 2008 in Nashville’s gritty, emerging Melrose neighborhood. Melrose was on the verge of revival, but it didn’t yet have a great neighborhood bar. So with a strong passion for craft beer and sharing it with friends, Austin Ray opened the first M.L.Rose location where studio musicians, hospitality workers, and celebrities mingled with local residents to create a laid-back, full-of-life, stay-a-while kind of place.

As the city has grown, so have we! Every new location is founded on our belief that GOOD BEER MAKES GOOD NEIGHBORS, and our goal is to win the hearts of every community we serve. We proudly support local schools and organizations, provide growth opportunities for our team, and hope you’ll love craft beer as much as we do!

Meet your neighbor, Austin!
Nashville native Austin Ray opened the first M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers (then Melrose Neighborhood Pub) on December 9, 2008, resulting in a neighborhood watering hole. This ‘third place’ – a comfortable spot to unwind & socialize outside of the home & office – now has four neighborhood locations in the Nashville area

The decision to open M.L.Rose came about because I wanted a place to hang out with my friends in the neighborhood where I lived, and I learned that I wasn’t alone in that desire,” said Ray. “Back in 2008, the Melrose neighborhood of Nashville was on the verge of transformation and in need of a great neighborhood bar. M.L.Rose from day one has been a friendly, comfortable place for friends and neighbors to get out without getting fancy. We’ve grown along with the city, and now offer four neighborhood locations where we share our love of good beer and burgers with guests.
